This service is for the express use of private individuals who wish to sell and/or buy personal boating or sailing related items in accordance with the Classified Ads Posting Policy.

SELLERS: beware of the cashier's cheque, Paypal "goods + fees" payment and other SCAMs!

ClassifiedAds Posting Procedure

Ad Processing

  • All requests to Post, Modify, Extend or Delete an Ad in the Telltale Newsletter or on the Web must be made using the on-line NSC Classified Ads - Posting Action Form (use the blue button below). No other means of submission is accepted.
  • All requests are processed by the NSC Administrator who will forward them to the appropriate channels once validated. An ad will usually be processed within two working days (following payment receipt when applicable).

Ad Content

  • All item descriptions are limited to 30 words. A link to an external website page that has more details may be included.
  • Each Web ad may contain up to two pictures. The longer width or height of your picture should be 500 pixels or less, and the picture maximum size should not exceed 100 Kb. If your pictures are larger than that, you can resize them easily at www.shrinkpictures.com. (Set the maximum image dimension to 500 pixels.) After resizing your pictures, send them in a separate email to nsc-classified at nsc.ca.

Posting Period

  • Classified ads on the Website expire at the end of the third full calendar month after posting. For example, an ad posted on April 10 will be removed from the page at the end of July, unless previously deleted by the lister. Extensions beyond the three-month period must be made using the Post, Modify, Extend or Cancel an Ad Form (by clicking the button below).
  • Classified ads submitted to the Telltale will run in the next issue only. If you want your ad to appear in subsequent issues, you must resubmit using the Post, Modify, Extend or Cancel an Ad Form (by clicking the button below).

Posting Fees

  • NSC members may post classified ads at no charge on both the Web site and in the Telltale.
  • Non-members must pay $11 for a listing in the Telltale (per issue) and $11 for a listing on the Web site (for three months). Payment must be received prior to listing on the Web site. In the case of the Telltale, payment must be received prior to the Telltale cut-off date as listed in the Publication Schedule. Please make cheques payable to Nepean Sailing Club. Listing fees include HST. Proceeds benefit the NSC Youth Sail Training Program.

Waiver

  • Users are solely responsible to ascertain the legitimacy of any offer or transaction made over the Internet. Users shall not hold the Nepean Sailing Club responsible for the outcome of any transactions initiated from an ad posted on the NSC Classifed Ads. By using this service, users agree de-facto with the terms of this waiver and with the NSC Classified Ads Disclaimer of Warranty.
