The Nepean Sailing Club 25 Legacy Reserve

nsc25th logo In 2004, the Nepean Sailing Club established the 25 Legacy Reserve to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Club to assist worthy groups and individuals who wish to pursue training and competitive opportunities in sailing.

For example, the Legacy Reserve may be used to finance activities such as the following:

  • Travel assistance to attend a regatta.
  • Opportunity for a new sailor to receive training at the NSC where he or she may otherwise not be able to afford to do so.
  • Opportunity for promising young sailors to receive specialized training.

Assistance will primarily be provided to those sailors who are members or prospective members of the Nepean Sailing Club. However, under exceptional circumstances, the 25 Legacy Reserve may be used to assist sailors from outside of the club.

The 25 Legacy Reserve Committee has been established by the NSC Board of Directors to manage the Reserve by reviewing applications, making awards to deserving individuals, and establishing projects to replenish the Reserve. All award decisions of the Committee are final.

Applications for financial support from the 25 Legacy Reserve should be submitted to the Committee by by completing the attached application form and e-mailing it to nsc-25legacy@nsc.ca. The Committee may request a meeting with the applicant to obtain further information about the application. All applicants will be notified of the result of the evaluation within 3 weeks of the submission of the application.
