Telltale volunteers needed...

If you want to assist or contribute in any way to the Telltale, please contact the editor at nsc-telltale

Some ideas we have for the Telltale that you could help with and others might enjoy, include:

  • From the Archives - interesting stories from NSC's past.  Perhaps stories that appeared in early Telltales or stories and occurrences that were never published.  Old pictures, old members would be nice to learn about.
  • Member's profiles - each issue someone will writeup a bio on an NSC family or person that will tell us all a little more about themselves so that we may get to know them better.  A photo will also be included.   As we do more of these they will be collected on the website as a kind of "members gallery" so that we can go back and review them to get to know each other a little better.
  • Racing Tips column - this used to be a part of the newsletter but disappeared somewhere along the way.   Sure would be nice if someone would resurrect this.
  • Out-of-town Cruising adventures - our members take many different types of excursions to all sorts of out of the way places.   If they would like to share their adventures with other members, that may start some conversations and possibilities.  We're thinking of trips to Georgian Bay, Maine, even Lake Ontario.
  • Committee Profiles - these could be written by enthusiastic committee members that would highlight their purpose and goings on.  New members might find some way to contribute and feel a part of NSC.
  • Kid's Corner - what about a column for kids and by kids?  We have plenty of juniors who might aspire to writing something about their enjoyable experiences sailing or playing around NSC.
  • Able Sail experiences - most would love to learn more about those little boats by the dock entrance gate.  Some real life experiences of how even physically challenged people can have a blast sailing right here at NSC!  Who would like to write up an article here...and maybe an ongoing update on the program too?
  • Telltale Feedback - what do you like and not like about the current Telltale?  What is it lacking that would make it more enjoyable for you to receive and read?  Please lets have your feedback.
  • The WorkBench - A column for those clever but simple building projects or tips that make cruising or racing just a little easier.

If any of the above inspire you to contribute something or you have other suggestions, then we'd really like to hear from you.  Please send your stories, ideas or questions or what-have-you to the editor at nsc-telltale  Any electronic format is acceptable.
