Regatta Details
The regatta is held over a two day period beginning Friday night and ending Saturday night. Activities and events are held at the Britannia Yacht Club, the Nepean Sailing club and Lac Deschenes on the Ottawa River.

Week of July 11th: “Secret Racers Regatta”
Like a stealth plane, you may find it hard to see, but it is there and it’s exciting! For 2011 we have integrated the rally into the regular club races so boats can win by racing in the regular club races the week of July 11th, with the added twist of a bit of fundraising and volunteering!! Easy to participate and you have a chance to win great prizes (not to mention the prestige bragging rights for winning the inaugural year) . Friday night – “Rock the Dock” Party and Auction (NSC)
Come join us to kick off the regatta in style! This event is open to everyone and will be held at NSC. No tickets or reservations required. The evening begins at 6:30pm with mingling and chatting with friends as you browse and bid on items at the Silent Auction. Then the excitement picks up as larger items are presented at the Live Auction at 8pm.

Saturday morning – Bushtukah “Bring on the Bay” 3 Km Swim
(From NSC to BYC)
The day begins bright and early for some as a group of intrepid swimmers brave the warm, friendly waters of Lac Deschenes, swimming a 2.9 Km route from the Nepean Sailing Club to the Britania yacht club to raise money for Easter Seals. Once at Britannia, they enjoy a refreshing breakfast while celebrating their achievement.
If you’re a swimmer (fast or slow) then this might be for you!

Saturday morning – Family Fleet Salute and Activities for Families (NSC)
The theme is PIRATES! so come dressed, decorate your boats and be prepared to walk the plank!
This day is devoted to providing a fun and adventurous experience for Easter Seals kids and their families.
The Family Fleet Salute provides the kids and their families the opportunity to go out on the water for a sail. Members of both clubs donate their time and energy to make this a special experience for everyone. This year we are expecting to have over 50 families on the water! This is the highlight of the day for the kids and their families.
The Regatta also gives the kids the opportunity to participate in many landside activities. Games, crafts, animal shows and other activities take place before and after the Fleet Salute along with a great lunch for families and volunteers.

Saturday afternoon/evening – Luau (NSC)
The day will end on a high note with the Saturday Evening Luau held at the Nepean Sailing Club with live music by the Richer and Rose Band and a Hawaiian-inspired feast to celebrate another successful Regatta for the kids. Wear your Polynesian finest for dinner and dancing.
