Tasks Provide assistance to competitor as required
Training/Support On the water direction provided
Qualification Some physical effort way be required in supporting competitors requiring assistance, also safety boats may encounter rough water conditions while performing their tasks

Tasks Set, modify and retrieve race course marks

Qualification Some physical effort will be require to set and pull mark anchors, also mark set boats may encounter rough water conditions while performing their tasks

Crew size by date August 1 to August 7 – Dependant on need to prepare snacks, or prepared by sponsor:
Volunteer breakfast: Crew of 4 per day.
On water snacks: Crew of 2-6 depending on sponsorship level
Post race snacks: Crew of 2-6 depending on sponsorship level
Wednesday meal: Crew of 5-10 depending on sponsorship level
Time Commitment Volunteer breakfast: Start 7 – 8 am for 2 hr (time to be confirmed) per day
On water snacks: – 8am – 11am per day (AM)
Post Race snacks: – 1 – 5pm per day (PM)
Wednesday meal: 3pm – 7pm (Special Event)
Tasks Volunteer breakfast set-up, nutrition snack prep/handout, post-race snack prep/handout, Wednesday dinner ceremony.
Training/Support Awareness of appropriate food hygiene and storage. At least 1 person/day with own car for food pick-up if required.

Tasks Provide direction to arriving competitor to get teams to establish yard areas to store their boats, gear, dollies and trailers.
Provide support to competitors if situation warrants
Other duties specified on site as required.

Job title Launch Ramp Coordinators

Crew size by Date (in addition to leader) August 1-7 > crew of 16 per units (4 ramps x 4 crew each)
Time Commitment August 1-7 > one all day shift 9:00 to 18:00
Tasks Provide direction at launch ramps ensuring competitors launch and/or retrieve their boats and dollies in a quick yet orderly manner,
Provide site direction bring competitor from their designated yard storage area to launch ramps facilitating an orderly launch prior to class start and retrieval following racing.
Provide general direction to competitors pre and post racing
Provide support to competitors if situation warrants
Seagulls – safety monitoring departure and return of competitors
Other duties specified on site as required.

Job title Sea Gulls – On shore safety crew

4 – 2 per dock recording competitors leaving and returning to dock
Time Commitment All day shift – to ensure consistency in recording out and in
Tasks Record boats leaving and returning to harbour. Along with competitor tags that must be turned in upon departure and retrieve upon return, these two processes are to ensure that all competitors remain accounted for.
Training/Support Will be provided by Site Operations
Qualification Good eye and vigilance during the rush of competitors departing and returning to harbour. Must remain on station to ensure early returns or late departures are recorded. This is a safety role

Time Commitment 2 X ½ day shift: 8:00 – 12:00 (AM) or 12:00 – 4:00 (PM)
Tasks Working from the Clubhouse
Greet Coaches and Competitors
Verify their registration forms are complete
Verify fees have been paid or collect un-paid fees
Get required waivers signed
Pass out regatta materials and gifts
Respond to coach and competitor questions (document questions that need to be answered by others)
Reconcile financial transaction information from your shift
Training/Support Registrar will provide materials and any training necessary to complete tasks
Qualification General knowledge of club facilities

Willing to respond to questions
Willing to manage registration information

Job title Volunteer Registration Crew
Supervision Reporting to Regatta Volunteer Coordinator Ted Eedson
Crew size by date July 31 to Aug 7 – crew of 2 per morning
Time Commitment Up to 4 hours per day
Tasks Working with The Volunteer Coordinator collect volunteer registrations sheets along with waivers, direct volunteer to their supervisors, provide volunteer recognition items as appropriate, respond to volunteer questions.
Training/Support Will be provided on site
Qualification Willingness to meet volunteers and assist in getting them to designated area

Job title Assistant to the Regatta Jury Secretary
Supervision Reporting to the Regatta Jury Secretary
Crew size by date (in addition to leader) August 1-5 – 1 person
Time Commitment One shift 3:30 until juries complete between 18:00 and 20:00 (PM)
Tasks Assist in preparation of materials for jury (copy/collate)
Assist in distribution of protest forms to competitors
Assists in the logging of protest, scheduling of hearings
Informing competitors of jury schedule
Copying and distributing results of jury hearing
Prepares list of scoring changes resulting from protests
After jury hearings are complete supports jury Secretary and Chief Judge in finalizing scoring changes that will be related by Chief Judge to regatta Scorer

Time Commitment Variable: approximately 3-6 hours spread throughout the day; mid-morning and late afternoon preferred during the regatta
Tasks Provide VIP boats and hospitality to sponsor and media VIPs.
Conduct media outreach; coordinate media enquiries and needs (interviews, photos, footage, etc.).
  Write news releases, briefs.
 Training/Support  PR Coordinator will provide direction and advice.
Qualification Some communications experience beneficial, but not necessary.  Ability to speak French also beneficial, but not necessary.

Time Commitment Half day shifts – 9 am to 1 pm, 1pm to 5pm
Tasks Assess injuries, treat minor injuries, coordinate medical services as needed.
Training/Support Orientation. Supplies as available
Qualification Some medical training necessary. Nurse, Paramedic, or Physician training ideal.
