Original Deed, Background and History of the Trophy:
The Commodore's Cup was donated by Ned & Anne Toole in 1983. Ned was the Rear Commodore in 1981, and then Commodore 1982-1983.
The Commodore's Cup was first awarded in 1983.
As engraved on the trophy, the Commodore's Cup is for annual presentation to the member or group of members, or the skipper & crew group, making the most significant and meritorious contribution to the cause of competitive sailing for, or in the name of, the Nepean Sailing Club, in the past year."
The Commodore's Cup is awarded at the discretion of the Commodore, based on the recommendation of the Fleet Captain, usually after the Fleet Captain has sought nominations from members.
