NSC offers a challenging, comprehensive race program for young sailors looking to develop advanced boating skills, learn racing tactics and strategies, and improve fitness to be competitive at local and provincial youth regattas. The program operates as the Nepean Youth Racing Team which focuses on training athletes to compete and build confidence in a fun team environment. The team begins training with a dedicated race coach part time mid-May and full-time in July and August, with option to continue training part time til the end of September. The program incorporates fitness and goal setting for each athlete. It fosters excellence in sailing with an emphasis on personal bests at regattas. The race team attends local and out-of-town regattas with coach support. Parent participation is required for towing boats to events, chaperoning and preparing team meals. Sailors who enroll in the full 12 week program get the opportunity to get a jump on the season to work off the "winter rust" and the fee also includes a student membership at Nepean Sailing Club. Be a part of the team!
