Able Sail • Learn to Sail Summer Camp for Teens

August 17 to 21, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm

NSC’s Able Sail program introduces teens to the independence and fun of sailing.

Each participant is paired with an instructor or companion sailor in a Martin 16 sailboat. The program goal is for each participant to learn the basics of sailing in order to sail their own boats with their companion sailor by the end of the week. A small class size of five enables strong progress. Our experienced friendly instructors  will ensure a comfortable, safe and enjoyable introduction to sailing.

Participant Eligibility
Youth diagnosed with a physical disability between the ages 12 -18 yrs.
Must be independent in all activities of daily living and able to communicate verbally.
Instructors use an electronic lift system to transfer Able sailors into the Martin 16 sailboats
