Social Cruising

The waters and bays around the Nepean Sailing Club provide great opportunities for social sailing and on water fun. Throughout the year there are many organized social fun sails. Check out some of our annual club events below.

Commodore’s Sailpast and Dinner
NSC Baskin’s Beach Weekend
Harbourmaster’s Challenge
Turkey Trot Pursuit and Feast

While each of these popular events has a different theme, they all have the common elements for a fantastic day: member organized; a unique on the water fun experience; post-sail activities onshore; and strong club traditions. Everything needed to discover sailing fun at NSC.

Don’t own a keelboat? No problem, it’s not required for these events and last minute crew are usually welcome anyways.

Social Day-Cruising is back in 2022

NSC is once again offering Social Day-Cruising. So you don’t own a keelboat but would like to get on one? You have a keelboat but don’t want to sail alone or have room for others? We can match you up once a week!

Social Day-Cruising provides a welcoming environment and an opportunity to cruise Lac Deschênes with friendly people who share your interest in boats and sailing. This activity is also an excellent way to practice and advance your keelboat knowledge and skill.

The schedule for July 2022 is:

  • Monday, June 27, 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, July 6, 11:00 AM
  • Monday, July 11, 1:00 PM
  • Saturday, July 23, 1:00 PM

If you have a boat or not, but want to day-cruise with new friends, or you have questions, please contact Tim Moses.
