NSC’s Purple Martin Banding
Did you know that NSC not only houses some 700 boats, but almost as many purple martins and that their “condos” were built by one of our very own? Find out more on our web page about NSC’s purple martins. During the bird banding sessions on July 8 & 15, we expect hundreds of baby purple martins will be banded.

NOD 2023 Wrap-Up: 50 Boats, One Great Race Day and One Not So Good
The NOD (Nepean One Design) regatta, on June 17-18, had 50 boats racing on two race courses on Lac Deschenes, with 110 competitors competing in J/22, J/80, Shark 24, Viper 640, 505, Fireball and Albacore on the middle and upper courses. more…
Volunteers Needed – Bushtukah Bring On The Bay Swim, July 15
NSC & BYC will host the 2023 Bring on the Bay Charity Swim on Saturday, July 15th @8am. We need your help! We anticipate 600+ swimmers plus lots of volunteers and spectators including two Ottawa Fire Rescue boats, 40+ kayaks, SUPs, canoes and 6 crash boats with 36 plus anchored boats/safety islands, one every 100m, along the 3000m and 1500m routes across the Ottawa River and into BYC. more…
Pinhey’s Point Race – Sunday, June 25
The NSC Pinhey’s Point sail race runs Sunday, June 25 starting at 1200 (noon). Enjoy an upriver race or cruise in company with family and friends and explore the mighty Ottawa with the first of the annual NSC upriver club races. The Galley Restaurant will be serving our new Summer Race Menu starting Tuesday, May 23rd. This menu will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm – 10 pm.
