FANFARE 2022 Announcement – September 10-11
The FAntastic Nepean FAll REgatta is our weekend of round-the-buoys racing in great September weather. The wind comes up and the water is still warm. Planned fleets for 2022 are: Open catamaran, 505, Albacore, Fireball, Martin 16, 2.4mR. Stay tuned for the updated FANFARE page and Notice of Race.

NSC Legacy Fund recipient flies to success
We are very pleased and proud to tell you about one of our own ; Kyber Lovshin, who you can see below learning how to fly on the Waszp in Kingston. His whole family have been life long members at NSC and clubs in the area. A very busy racer and wind athlete – congratulations and looking forward to more news. GOOD LUCK!

Report on NSC Club Championship, July 23-24
The inaugural NSC Club Championships were held in shifty southerly winds of 8 to 12 knots with gusts in the high teens, on July 23 & 24. Representatives from the J-22 fleet, the 505, the C&C 27, PHRF Division 2, JAM B and the 2.4mR fleets competed in equally matched 2.4mR sailboats provided by their owners. more…
Report on 2022 Purple Martin Banding
There was a great turnout on the NSC grounds July 9 and 16 with a total of some 100 members of the public watching, interacting and some holding purple martin chicks. 236 chicks were banded there. more…

Report on Queen’s Park Race #1, July 17
BYC hosted the first Queen’s Park Race on Sunday, July 17; this was the third race of the Interclub Long-Distance (ILD) Series. There was almost no wind at the scheduled warning time of 1330, but nevertheless, the sequence was started just as enough wind filled in to barely move the ~15 boats off the start line. more…

Saturday, July 16th, began with bright sunny weather and calm, near-perfect conditions for swimming for the 15th annual Bushtukah Bring on the Bay Open Water Swim in support of Easter Seals. After a 2-year “COVID” pause, almost 170 volunteers came out to support the swimmers. more…
