Staff Team 2023

Meet the Team!

Ellissa McCann – Head Coach

I’m happy to introduce myself as the new Head Coach at the Nepean Sailing Club. For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Ellie, and I have been coaching here at NSC for the past five years.

Over those years, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching at nearly every level, from beginners in Tackers to more seasoned sailors on the youth race team. My passion for sailing runs deep, and I am committed to helping each and every sailor reach their full potential.

Coaching at NSC is especially meaningful for me, as I was once a child in the summer camps offered by our club. I understand firsthand the impact that sailing and mentorship can have on a young person’s life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back in the same way that I once received.

I am excited to know each of you over this summer, and continue to work alongside our talented coaches and sailors.
