| Note | Turning point: PortOfCall. Single handed. Note: there is obviously something wrong with the calculated corrected time (it shall be somewhere around 2h19m) Lots of wind. I started the race with my jib #2 (135%) and full main. Way too much sail. The wind was over 20 knots most of the time with gust of 26. Took a reef on the main. Much better: the boat tolerate the big puff. The average angle was 60 degree to get to PortOfCall and 60 degree on the way back. I rounded the finish boye just few minutes before the storm. My old 6HP motor was not good enough to get back to NSC. I decided to go for a shelter at BYC. I got permission to leave the boat overnight. But after a well deserved souper the condition were good to bring the boat back to NCS, with the help of my girl friend. Nice sailing back. |
