| Note | Skipper: Rejean Tremblay crew: Sylvie Desrosier Comments: Nice warm and windy day (south west, 10 knots) - Up to PortOfCall in one tack (60 degrees) - Wind slowed down at PortOfCall. Had to tack twice before turning around. - Raised the spi. Doing 3 to 4 knots. Accelerating to 6.2 knots. We are now close reach (80- degrees) with the spi. - Too much pressure. Brought down the spi. Raised t he genoa. Doing 6.2 knots, broadreach - Few minutes later, too much pressure. Brought the genoa down. Still doing 6 knots only with the main, broadreach. - Close to Alymer Island, the storm hit. Way too much wind. Brought down the main and started the engine (too close to Quebec shore). Too bad... We'll try again... |
