NOD 2021 Wrap-Up : 99 boats and 2 great race days

NOD (Nepean One Design) regatta 14+15 August had an almost record 99 boats racing on 3 race courses on Lac Deschenes, with 190 competitors. There were 38 youth boats on the down-river course in Lasers and Optimists, and 61 boats (J/22, J/80, Tanzer 22, Viper 640, 2.4mR, 505 and Albacore) on the middle and upper courses. more…

Slip And Yard Space Assignments

For visiting boats and NSC trailer-launched keelboats: There will be a list at the West Lawn tent indicating your assigned location in the harbour (keelboats) or yard (dinghies). The list will be available noon Friday 13 August. The list will also indicate where to park your trailer. For boats arriving before this time, contact the regatta chair, not the club office.

NOD 2021 Fleet List

The fleet cutoff deadline has passed. The following fleets will sail at NOD 2021: J/22, J/80, Tanzer 22, Albacore, Viper 640, 2.4mR, 505, Youth ILCA, Optimist, Optimist Green. Additional boats are welcome to register for those fleets, until the registration deadline 18:00 Friday 13 August. (Prams are also still welcome to register). Late fees will apply. Other fleets – we thank you for your interest, and hope you can join us another year.

Registration Deadlines and Late Fees

The Regatta commences in 16 days .  Register before Aug 1, 2021 to avoid the late fees as stated in the NOD_NOR_2021_v2.pdf (

IAW the Notice of Race for the Nepean One Design Regatta it states:

4.6 The fleet cut-off deadline is 18:00 August 1
4.7 The registration deadline is 18:00 August 13

5.1 Entry fees are as follows:
Single-handed dinghy, 2.4mR and Martin 16 $40 + HST
Double-handed dinghy $50 + HST
All other boats $60 + HST

5.2 Boats paying after the fleet cut-off deadline must also pay a late fee of $20 + HST.
5.3 Entry fees do not include the regatta Saturday dinner. Dinner tickets are available for $20 + HST and must be pre-ordered by 8 August, at the regatta website.

Opti/Pram Competitors

Welcome to what might be your first large multi-design event. As this is not a CODA event, the organizers strongly encourage you to read the Notice of Race (especially the preamble) before registering. This event may be significantly different from your previous regattas.

NOD 2021 Is August 14 + 15

We welcome J/22, J/24, J/80, Martin 16, 2.4mR, Shark, Tanzer 22, Viper 640, Albacore, Fireball, 420, 505. By special request, NOD 2021 is also open to Youth in Laser and Optimist/Pram. Join us August 14 + 15 for the premiere one design regatta in the National Capital Region.

This event is also the J/22 Ontario championship.

To ensure your start, get your fleet registered by the fleet cut-off deadline 1 August.

Help needed: We need race committee volunteers (all skill levels) + 2 loaner keelboats as race committee boats. Please contact the NOD Chair.
