The 8th Annual Harbour Harvest Ice Fishing Derby kicks off on Sunday February 16 at 8am. Cash, prizes, and trophies all up for grabs! No experience or equipment necessary! Free coffee and hot chocolate for participants! Ice safety & live ice rescue demonstrations! And so much more…

Taking place at the Nepean Sailing Club, the Harbour Harvest is a family friendly ice fishing derby that raises money for local charities. Come for the entire day, or sign up for the morning and/or afternoon rounds! Register online.
There will be a prize for the morning round and another for the afternoon! If you need gear, there will be a tip up or rod available for you. There will be buckets, ice scoops, and pliers to borrow on site.
Check-in opens at 8am (you can arrive anytime between 8am and 3pm) at the main entrance of the Nepean Sailing Club. No fishing before 8:00am.
Pancake Breakfast @ the Galley: Just upstairs from the on-ice action, the Galley restaurant is organizing a special Harbour Harvest Pancake Breakfast from 10am to 2pm. ONLY $15 per guest. As an add-on to your registration, pre-purchase in advance before February 9.
This year’s charities include:
- The Ottawa Riverkeeper: ORK is a charitable organization, a champion and collective voice for the Ottawa River watershed, providing leadership and inspiration to protect, promote and improve its ecological health and future.
- Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) Foundation: OCH provides approximately 15,000 homes to about 32,000 tenants, including seniors, parents, children, couples, singles and persons with special needs, within many communities across the City of Ottawa.
- Other supported groups include Roger Neilson House, Refugee 613, Multifaith Housing Initiative, and the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO).
