Past and Present Directors Recognized
The Nepean Sailing Club welcomed past and present members of its Board of Directors on Saturday, September 20. This special afternoon of recognition celebrated the individuals who have helped guide and support the club throughout its history.
A total of 16 past and current directors attended. This event brought together leaders from different eras of the club’s development. It also offered a chance to recognize their dedication, volunteer spirit, and many hours of service to the Club and its members.
The event began at 1:30 p.m., with the club’s Membership Director offering opening remarks. During the presentation, attendees reflected on the vital role volunteer board members have played in shaping the club’s success. They also noted how these volunteers have strengthened the NSC community and supported a vibrant future for sailing and social activities.
Directors Presented With Special Burgees
As a token of appreciation, each director received a Director’s Burgee to mark their tenure and service. The presentation included a heartfelt speech that recognized their commitment, leadership, and stewardship. It also honoured the many years they have supported the club and its community.
The occasion also gave past and present directors a chance to reconnect and share stories. They celebrated the many achievements that have helped make the Nepean Sailing Club one of the region’s premier sailing organizations.
