How to access what you need to
When you click the “Log In” button or a “For Members Only” link, you’ll be prompted to enter a username and password.
If you’re a General NSC member or someone who contributes to or manages the website, the login process differs slightly.
General NSC Members
All NSC members in good standing:
Log in using your surname and membership number as shown on your membership card, including the hyphen (–).
If entered correctly, you’ll be redirected to the appropriate page on the website.
New Members: The website’s membership database is updated monthly based on the office’s records. If you can’t log in, your credentials may not have been included in the latest update.
Note: General members cannot reset their password using a “Forgot your Password?” option, as your login credentials are fixed and based on your official membership information.
Website Contributors and Editors
Board directors, administrators, staff and volunteers with a Content Management Systems (WordPress) account:
To access the WordPress admin dashboard, use the “Log In” button at the top of any page and enter your Management Account credentials. You can reset your password using the “Forgot Your Password?” link on the login page.
To access regular member content (like “Proof of Insurance” or “Board Minutes”), log out of your WordPress admin account first. Then log in again using your last name and membership number including the hyphen.
Note: Some “Members Only” pages may be accessible via your WordPress admin login, but this is not recommended. Use your accounts for their specific purposes to avoid issues.
The login cookies are persistent, meaning that once logged in a particular browser, you remain logged in until you log out with the “Log Out” button, or you clear your browser cookies cache manually, or your browser clears the cookies cache as per its setup. Read the following section for more details.
Why do I have to log in again when I didn’t log out?
Even if you didn’t log out, clearing your browser cookies manually or through automatic settings removes your login information. This type of logout happens silently—without a message or warning. When you try to access a restricted page again, you’ll need to log in.
Logging in to “NSC Connect”

From the Members Area you can access NSC Connect, our membership management system, to book a crane, reserve rental boats, or manage your membership account.
This login is different from the regular membership login. When you click on the NSC Connect Membership Management blue box, you will be taken outside of the website to another portal that looks like this:

In the top “Member Number” field, do not enter your name like the website login, instead type in your membership number with the hyphen (e.g. “1234-5678”).
In the “Password” field, enter your first initial followed by your last name (e.g., jdoe).
