Congratulations to the NSC youth Race Team on their amazing performance at the Port Credit Yacht Club last weekend! The team attended both the Steerers and the Four Sisters regattas last weekend, with three boats competing in the Laser Radial class, and one boat in the club 420 class. Racer Sam Lowery dominated at PCYC, bringing home a 1st place in the Radial class at Steerers, which he followed up with a 2nd place at Four Sisters. Teammates Natalie Tanczak and David Schramm also made a strong showing in the Radial fleet, consistently placing in the top 15 boats. On the 420 course, twin brothers Mitchell and Julian Lowery gave their other brother a run for his money, placing 4th at Steerers, and 9th at Four Sisters. O’pen Bic Racing Parents Meeting
A parents meeting will be held Monday July 21st at 6:00 pm in the NSC sailing school to discuss the various regattas which any interested O’pen Bic Adventure sailors may be interested in attending.

This year’s Open Bic Un-Regatta will practice the KISS principle, by Keeping It Simple and Silly! We invite our Young Sailors to come out and try racing in a fun context, be it their first time out on a race course, or for the seasoned sailor looking to hone his or her skills at the helm of an Open Bic!
2014 Race Coaches
Skill, talent, and a passion for coaching young sailors – Andrew Faurschou, Queen’s Sailing Team, and Rae Anne Norwood, Quebec Sailing team 2012-2014, will lead and mentor NSC’s Youth Race team and CANSail 5/6 Learn to Race programs. Both are graduates of our very own NSC High Performance Race Team and have extensive race experience and knowledge in 420’s and Laser Radials.
