Youth Leadership Training Program

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Introducing our New Youth Leadership in Training Program (LIT)

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our groundbreaking Youth Leadership in Training Program, designed exclusively for teens between the ages of 13 and 16. This transformative initiative aims to equip young individuals with invaluable leadership skills, fostering personal growth and empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities.

At the heart of out program is a diverse range of opportunities that provide participants with hands-on experiences in working with children, adults, and persons with disabilities. We believe that engaging with individuals across different age groups and backgrounds will shape well-rounded leaders who can effectively adapt to any situation.

Through our existing Sail Training Program, participants will delve into various leadership development activities, such as team building exercises, public speaking workshops, problem-solving challenges, and community outreach initiatives. These experiences are thoughtfully designed to encourage teamwork, communication, empathy and critical thinking — all essential qualities of a successful leader.

Working with children will allow our young leaders to hone their mentoring and guidance skills, nurturing the potential of the next generation. By collaborating with adults, they will learn how to effectively communicate and build relationships with individuals from different walks of life. Additionally, the opportunity to work with persons with disabilities will promote inclusivity and empathy, fostering a more compassionate and understanding society.

Our program will be facilitated by experienced mentors who are passionate about youth development and possess a wealth of expertise in leadership training. These mentors will provide guidance, support, and personalized feedback to ensure each participant’s growth and progress throughout the program.

We are excited to offer this unique opportunity to empower young minds and shape them into leaders who can make a difference in their communities. The program will run during the summer months, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate various commitments.

Registration for our Youth Leadership Training Program is now open, and spaces are limited. If you know a teenager who is eager to develop their leadership potential and make a positive impact, we encourage you to enroll them today.

Together, let’s inspire and empower the leaders of tomorrow!

Sailors, Natalie Tanczak and Camden Sutherland participated in the Friday training day and the weekend regatta. Natalie Tanczak arrived on Tuesday morning in order to train alongside the Ontario Sailing Team. Overall the wind varied, but for the actual regatta the conditions were light and shifty. The NSC racers found themselves fighting the extremely strong current, throughout they raced 6 races. Natalie finished 6th overall and won an award for Top Female, while Camden finished 11th overall out of 32 boats.
