It was a proud moment at the 2024 Ottawa Sports Awards Dinner held on February 5, 2025 when 2 NSC Youth race team sailors from 2024, Joel Voyer and Siqi Zhang, were awarded the Ottawa Sports Award in the sailing category based on their results from the 2024 season. Voyer and Zhang took first place in the Club 420 Class and were the top male dinghy team. The duo also placed first at three other regattas, running from July to September.
