The NSC Dinghy Coop
The NSC Fleet Captain is excited to announce that the Dinghy Coop officially launched on June 14 for the 2026 season! Unlike the previous rental program, the Dinghy Coop is a volunteer-run initiative that allows NSC members to reserve a dinghy boat for a small annual fee. This is an excellent opportunity for sailors, who don’t own their own boat, to get out on the water.
More information on the Coop is provided on a new Dinghy Coop web page. The Coop Sailing Instructions define when, where and under what conditions the Coop boats can be sailed.

The Coop fleet currently consists of a mix of Albacores, Hobies, and Lasers.
How to Join the Coop
To join the program, head to the Dinghy Coop page and complete the application form. Once approved, pay the $125 annual fee online through Clubspot and sign the waiver. You will then be invited to join an orientation course, after which you will be provided with a link to the reservation system.
If you have any questions about the Dinghy Coop program, reach out to Neil Knudsen, the Dinghy Coop Coordinator, at dinghycoop@nsc.ca.
