Harbour Closure Next Week
It’s that time of year! We will initiate the harbour closure next week.
For those still in the water:
As of 11 November at 4pm:
No boat is permitted to be at the service docks, occupying W, A or B-docks, or tied to the wall dock.
Please Arrange Your Haul-Out
If you have not already done so, please contact your service provider, book the Club crane and plan accordingly. Weather permitting, we will move docks and winterize the harbour on 12 November.
Time is of the essence as the days get colder and frost closes in.

Haul-Out Reminder
This is a friendly reminder and a gentle nudge to have your boats hauled out of the harbour.
Countdown to Closure
Many of you have already hauled out or have immediate plans to haul out. But as of today, we still have 172 boats in the water, and the harbour officially closes the week of November 10th.
Weather Watch
The weather has been amazing, and you want to squeeze in a last sail or two. However, we are starting to see frost on the docks in the morning, and that will ultimately lead to having to turn off the water and pump out facilities.
Need to Book?
If you haven’t already arranged to pull your boat, please reach out to Doug or Jay to set up a time.
Crane Use and Yard Safety
If you are using the yard cranes to load your own trailer, please book them ASAP. A last-minute rush is neither desirable nor pleasant for all involved. The NSC yard is a bustling place at this time of the year. Please have your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings. We want you to be safe when using the yard.
Vehicle Access Etiquette
Also, if you must enter the yard temporarily with your vehicle, it’s preferable not to do so between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Please drop off your equipment, frames, tarps, etc., then leave the yard and park outside. That helps the service providers greatly.
Help Is Always Nearby
If you need help or are uncertain about something, the NSC membership is a big, helpful family. Many hands are ready to provide advice and/or assistance, which is what makes our club special.
