Thanks to incredible partners like the Nepean Sailing Club, the Seventh Annual Harbour Harvest was able to host over 550 anglers on the Sunday of Family Day weekend and raise $5,490 for three great charities.

The event welcomed and facilitated a full ice fishing derby experience for over 150 newcomers to Canada and low-income families. The cozy and accessible venue is an ideal place to learn about the sport and have access to a delicious pancake breakfast.

This year, participants also learned about ice safety and rescue techniques from experts from Boreal River Rescue.

I want to give a huge shout-out to James Pole for the dedicated support he has given this event. James and the entire NSC staff have gone the extra mile for this fun and unique winter event. Our success is because of the team! Thank you!

Our new NSC-sponsored annual trophy will be on display in the Galley Restaurant with a new champion’s name, see if you can find it next time you are in for fish and chips.
