It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Andrew Haydon, longtime Ottawa-Carleton regional chair, and former reeve and mayor of Nepean, on Monday, October 28, at the age of 91.
Andy was instrumental in the building of the Nepean Sportsplex, the National Capital Equestrian Park and the Transitway. Together with Bill Levesque and Ben Franklin, among others, Andy also played a key role in the creation of the Nepean Sailing Club.
