The NSC Winter Speaker Series Presents: “Maximizing Sail Lifespan: Essential Care and Maintenance Tips”

We will be discussing how to care for and maintain cruising / racing sails. We will look at how they function and how proper maintenance can extend the life of your sails and canvas. We will also look at common problems and how to identify them and finally, how to know when it’s time to replace your sails.

Your Speaker

David Meek:

David has been a member at NSC for nearly 25 years and has been involved in both racing and cruising, most recently on his J30 Twilight Zone. After leaving the teaching profession, he then spent six winters living on a sailboat in the Eastern Caribbean and working in the marine textile industry. David is now the owner/operator of Mainbrace Studio, a sail repair shop in Ottawa.
