Women Sailing the Ottawa River, Spring Meeting, Wednesday, 24 April 2024 at NSC. 7 pm in the Harbourview Hall. Dinghy, keelboat or powerboat, racers or cruisers, come meet other women sailing the Ottawa River at this free event. NSC bar and galley will be open. No need to pre-register.

A: Further developing ideas raised at the 2023 end-of-season meeting:
- Dinghy skills training
- How to get the experience for certification as Club Race Officers, mark-set personnel
- Women Sailing Charters
- Networking system for women dinghy sailors between all the clubs on the Ottawa River.
B: How to attract new female sailors & support existing female racers. Some ideas for discussion:
- Getting more boats out racing Monday evening
- Finding boats for women who want to crew
- Finding more women skippers
- Finding coaches for less experienced skippers
- Finding coaches to help women skippers to train new crew
- Getting occasional coaches to go out on boats to help crews learn more.
