Hello Everyone,
Much has changed in the past week. The harbour is open, the docks have been moved to their proper
places, boats have been launched, and power and water are on in the yard. So, it’s time to get the cover
off, hull waxed, thru-hulls checked, rigging inspected, and give the boat a once-over and decide what
projects are on deck for this year, and inevitably what can wait for years to come.
Club commercial launch is May 4, and for everyone else, it’s time to call Doug or Jay and get your boat
in the water, rigged and ready to go.
Spring is a busy time in the yard, so please pick up and drop off your stuff at your boat and park in the
parking lots outside of the gate. Also, if your tarp is at the end of its life, please fold it up and take it
home to dispose of it.
Please take a few moments to review the Harbour and Yard area of our website. Everything you need
to know about the harbour is here. Also, there is an excellent article by Corey called: Haulout Date
Tied to Launch. This is a must-read, as it outlines (with pics) what is happening from now until
the boats are all safely tied up in their slips.
The mooring allocations have been published in the Harbour and Yard section in the private area of our
web page and also updated in the NSC Blue Book directory.
A big thank-you to all of the people on my committees, Mooring Allocation Committee, and Harbour
Committee for all their hard work and dedication to our Club.
Looking forward to seeing you in the yard, please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can
help you with.
May the fourth be with you.
