Bring On The Bay – 2025

As in previous years, this year the club will be holding our most inspiring annual events — the Bring on the Bay Charity Swim, happening on the morning of Saturday, July 12th.

This incredible event will see over 800 swimmers take to the water for a 3000m swim from our east dinghy docks across the bay to Surfers Beach at Britannia Park, starting at 8:00 AM sharp. Shortly after, at 8:20 AM, another 200+ swimmers will begin their 1500m out-and-back swim beginning and ending at Surfers Beach.

If you are planning a morning departure from the club on Saturday July 12, please be clear of the east dinghy docks before 7:30am. This is a fun and moving morning that wraps up by 10:00 AM, and it helps raise over $100,000 annually for children with disabilities in Eastern Ontario. In fact, this year we’ll surpass $1 million raised since the event began. Some of our swimmers even participate with physical disabilities or visual impairments — it’s truly inspiring.

Want to Help?

As one of the event organizers, I’m always looking for a few more boats to serve as safety islands. If you’re available, we’d love to have you anchor at a designated spot by 7:30 AM to watch over swimmers, offer rest if needed, and cheer them on.

Email Brian Mangan at mangan.brian@gmail.com. Or, come out and volunteer — or even join the swim yourself!

Hope to see you out there!
