Keelboat Race Practice Summary

Nice winds and lots of practice.

Keelboat Race Practice ended on Friday May 31 this year after attracting a good number of participants. While there was no wind for the first session, which evolved into an informal discussion on racing, the next two practices enjoyed ideal conditions with 8-12 knot winds, allowing 5 starts each night. All together a total of 13 boats took part including, on the last evening, three I14 dinghies, who were given separate starts so they could tune-up for the Skiff and Cat Grand Prix.

Thanks to Doug Corner for hosting the first session, and to the Bosuns who did an excellent job in setting up and ran the practice session.

Next up on the fleet training menu is Dinghy Skills Training which in now a two-day course running on June 07 and June 14. For details, please go to: https://nsc.ca/an/racing/fleet-training/
