This year was the 28th NOD regatta, held on June 26-28. Eight separate one-design classes took part, ranging from 6 to 18 boat, with 10 boats travelling from Toronto, Montreal and the USA. On Friday racing started for the 7 boats in the J/24 class, but in the light winds only one race could be completed. That evening, a Welcome Reception was held in Harbourview Hall, featuring brief speeches by our Commodore, Ross Laver and BYC’s Commodore, Aaron Middleton and a live band.
The Nepean One Design regatta (NOD), our largest sailing event of the year is on June 26, 27 and 28. To make NOD a success we are looking for more volunteers to help out with some on-shore activities. These are short 2-3 hour shifts taking place in Harbourview Hall. No experience required!
