Find out how to get the best from your sails and improve your boat speed at the North U Sail Trim and Boat Speed seminar. Part of the Fleet Race Training menu, this is an in-depth, interactive, and in-person seminar, held at NSC. The seminar is presented by North U sailing coach Geoff Moore, who has extensive experience racing many different types of boats, from Albacore dinghies to large, one-design keelboats.
The Sail Trim & Boat Speed seminar is geared toward sailors of all levels. It teaches you how to improve your sail trim so that you can sail faster. The seminar covers sail trim on all points of sail. Upwind topics include jib trim, mainsail trim, and helming. Downwind topics cover symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers as well as tips for those who sail under jib and main only. You can use your newfound speed to beat a fleet of one-design boats to the finish line or simply to reach your cruising destination faster.
