The experiential components include pyrotechnical distress signalling and approximately two hours of wet drills in a pool.

The SeaSurvival Offshore Personal Survival seminar is approved by Sail Canada and World Sailing and it is recognized around the globe as a premier safety at-sea event for cruisers and racers. Participants receive a World Sailing certificate of competence required for offshore racing.
