Original Deed, Background and History of the Trophy:

The Babble Cup was donated by the Babble Boys for the Second Summer Series, "A" Fleet Keelboats. Babble was a Kirby 30 raced out of NSC, owned by a syndicate of 6, known as the "Babble Boys". Rumour has it that the cup was purchased from the proceeds of their returned empties one summer. 35 years after donating the cup, many of the Babble Boys are still active at NSC.

The Babble Cup was first awarded in 1986.
