Original Deed, Background and History of the Trophy:

The Boole Trophy was donated by Boole Construction and Development Ltd. Robert Boole was an avid Kirby 25 sailor at the time; he moved to St. Petersburg in the late 1980s. The trophy is awarded to a keelboat skipper and crew for showing outstanding sportsmanship and tenacity in club racing.

The Boole Trophy was first awarded in 1985.

Awarded For:

This trophy is awarded at the discretion of the Fleet Captain, usually after the Fleet Captain has sought nominations from members. Sportsmanship has always been a key consideration, and in most years, participation and tenacity are primary considerations.
