This award is presented to the winning crew of the 505 Fleet 4 Championships.

It was first awarded in 1996.

Back in the beginning of time (1970s?), 505 fleets were numbered, and the Ottawa fleet was designated as Fleet 4. The 505 Fleet 4 Championships pre-dates this plaque by many years. If memory serves me correctly, there was a similar half-hull trophy that existed for the 505 Fleet 4 Championships, prior to 1996.

Tradition has been that 505 trophies are generally kept by the winners from year to year.

1996-Present: Winning Crew of the 505 Fleet 4 Championships.
For as long as FANFARE has been running, it has been designated the Fleet 4 Championships.
