Dinghy race practices allow dinghy sailors to practice sailing a short race course – without the stress of competition. On-the-water dinghy race practices will take place at NSC on Fridays, May 29, June 5 & 12, 2026. Practices are open to NSC members, new and old, with their own dinghy.
The primary focus is practice:
● Tune up your crew, skipper and/or boat
● Practice your starts, tacks and mark-rounding
● Up to 5 starts will be held, wind conditions permitting
How to participate:
● This event is free for NSC members
● Register for the practice(s) by contacting NSC Dinghy Race Practice Coordinator Leonore Evans.
● Each practice starts Friday evening at 5:30pm with a briefing at NSC’s Sail Training Centre.
● BYO (Bring Your Own) Boat. The dinghy race practices are held on the water between NSC and BYC.
