NSC Members Richard Pessah (R) and Ian Torrie (L) recently completed the transatlantic “Atlantic Rally for Cruisers” (ARC) aboard “Mira”, an Amel 54. This photo was taken as they landed in Rodney Bay St Lucia. Ian joined the crew in Magala Spain and Richard rounded out the crew for the 3000nm southern crossing route (“… go south till the butter melts then turn right …”!) They confirmed it was a blast both at sea and ashore, meeting loads of likeminded crazy sailors and having a small crew that truly enjoyed each other’s company for the 19 day crossing.
