We are thrilled to bring some great news to our members and followers. The J24 Canadian Class Association has a newly appointed council and is gearing up to host the much-anticipated J24 Canadian Championship at the Nepean Sailing Club from June 20-22, 2025, as part of the Nepean One Design Regatta.
After a five-year break, the J24 Canadian Class Association has reemerged with renewed vigour under the dynamic leadership of Vince Somoza, a member of NSC, who has taken on the role of President. Vince is a seasoned racer at NSC, having secured an impressive 2nd place at the 2019 J24 World Championship in Miami. With over 30 years of experience as a J24 owner and racer, Vince brings invaluable expertise to the council.
Joining Vince on the council are:
- Nathan Bresett (Bay of Quinte Yacht Club) as Class Measurer
- Josée Couture (Nepean Sailing Club) as Secretary/Treasurer
- Jeff Jorgensen (Nepean Sailing Club) responsible for Membership and Marketing, and the new J24 Fleet Representative
