General Manager’s Notice – Yard Winterization

Successful Haulout

Another successful Club haulout heppened this past Saturday where almost 70 boats were hauled and cranes off-site by 1:30. Thank you to all the volunteers and organizing committee.

Winterizing Nov. 7

Weather is quickly turning, and we are starting to see overnight freezing temperatures, it’s time to pump out your boat. The water and pump out at the service dock will be winterized on November 7th or 8th as weather permits. This means there will be NO pump out available after that.

Harbour Closure Nov. 11

The harbour closure is scheduled for the week of November 11th. An exact date will be determined by the weather.

Roof Replacement Underway

The roof replacement project has begun. Scaffolding is currently being set up and preparations made for complete roof replacement. During this time, the deck is closed. There will be emergency exits only upstairs on the north side of the building in both the Members Lounge and Harbourview Hall. The exits on the west side of the Members Lounge are closed. Signage will be posted. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Keep Our Docks Safe

With masts coming down, be respectful to your fellow members and tie your boat back a bit and attach a flag or marker to the end so that its clear to people having to pass by.

Trivia Thursdays Nov. 7

Trivia Thursdays are starting on November 7th and will run continuously until the end of April except for building closure over the holidays. The new start time is 7 pm. We will be having rotating specials on Thursday nights so be sure to arrive in time to have a bite to eat.

Happy Haulout!
