2025 Membership Fees due by Nov 1

2025 Membership Fees are now payable and due by Nov 1. Membership at the Nepean Sailing Club reflects our fiscal year, which runs from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31. By renewing in the fall, you support our Club in preparing financially and operationally for the upcoming season. And for those with boats, that includes mooring assignments.

Not renewing? Or is there a change in your membership? We’d much appreciate a quick email to admin@nsc.ca letting us know of the change so we can update our records. And to give us an opportunity to say “so long” and “thank you”, or “how can we help?”

The Board recently approved the 2025 NSC Fee Schedule. The new fee schedule includes an 8% increase to the majority of fees and services for the 2025 season. This increase is necessary to maintain the current level of operation of our Club while being a financially responsible non-profit as costs continue to rise.  The full list of the Board-approved club fees can be found on NSC’s website.

If you require a grace period to pay your fees or need some alternative payment plans, please speak to the office before the due date to make those arrangements.  As per policy, the final decision is made by the Membership Director who is the approval authority. PLEASE don’t be late on your payment, otherwise, your account will automatically be charged a late penalty fee of $75 after November 1st.  AND we don’t want you to miss out when assigning moorings in January.

Families, a reminder that any children who’ve reached the age of 18 will have to obtain their very own membership. There are many affordable options for them depending on their involvement (Young Adult, Student or Crewing Membership). We’d be happy to assist in determining what’s best and setting this up for them.

Every year, we ask for donations to the NSC Legacy Fund, supporting exceptional sail training and racing activities.  If you wish to donate, please add the amount to your payment and advise the office of your donation. (We regret we are unable to provide a charitable tax credit for the donation.)

We are grateful to our loyal and dedicated members who renew year after year.  Without you, we wouldn’t have this great Club and community.  As a renewing member, it’s a great time to brush up on NSC’s governance documents, including our By-law, policies and member agreements. These documents can be found on NSC’s website here: https://nsc.ca/an/about-nsc/governance-administration/.
