This year’s Commodore’s SailPast embraced a Mediterranean theme, and everything — from the weather and décor to the food, music, and turnout — was AMAZING!
We had an impressive 75 boats sail or cruise past our Commodore, Corey Glynn, aboard HiJinx. A big thank-you to Luke Shepard for setting the SailPast course, and to the crew of Makai for hosting the Fleet Captain who led the procession.
Something for Everyone
The afternoon offered a little something for everyone:
- Kids’ Craft Area – led by Sylvie Seufert
- Artist Area – Abi Doyle drew portraits and caricatures for members of all ages
- And Lawn Games – fun for all
The Galley team treated us to sangria and delicious Mediterranean appetizers, served on the west lawn while we enjoyed live Latin music by UNO.
Anniversary Burgees!
Anniversary Burgees were issued by Membership. Congratulations to the following members on 45 years with NSC:

Best Dock Competition
Our friendly “Best Dock” competition ended in a tie between Dock A and Dock W. The Greeks swept the Best Boat awards — congratulations to all the winners!
- 1st Prize – Tropical Quest, for embracing the Greek theme in décor, costumes, and even changing their boat name using Greek alphabet lettering
- 2nd Prize – Beau Séjour, for crafting a Spartan ram on the bow, complete with themed décor and crew costumes
- 3rd Prize – Micheala, for their standout decorations and outfits
