Turkey Trot Race & Turkey Social – Mon, Oct 13

NSC’s annual Turkey Trot pursuit race is the undisputed highlight of our sailing year. It is on Thanksgiving Monday, with first signal on the lake at 1100.

Sail once or twice around the yellow Olympic circle marks. Slow boats start first, fast boats start last, and everyone has a good time. Open to keelboats, dinghies and cats.

Then back to the clubhouse to celebrate a great sailing season. Hot turkey sandwiches will be provided by the Galley.

Participants please bring a dessert, cookies or cake squares to share for six.

There’s no Skippers Meeting. The Race Officer (Doug Patterson) will be available in the bar from 0945-1000 if anyone has questions.

Here is the List of Start Times & Sailing Instructions. Look for your type of boat, choose whether you are using a spinnaker or not, and find your start time on the list. Boats get the average handicap of all boats in PHRF-LO of that class, except for one-design boats which get their one-design handicap.

If your class of boat is not listed, please send an email to the club Handicapper.

There is no charge for this event.
