Baskin’s Beach – Saturday, August 6

Baskin’s Beach is NSC’s most popular up-river social event of the summer. The Baskin’s Beach property is a privately owned park, about 4 miles past Pinhey’s Point. Upwards of 50 boats will make the voyage up-river, while others will drive up for an afternoon of games, socializing and food. more…

THRASH is Sold Out!

The club is pleased to welcome a sold-out THRASH, but in order to set up, our food service will be closed and beverage service will be limited to the patio, weather permitting, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. The clubhouse will re-open, for those that purchased tickets, at 5:00 p.m. Once dinner is finished at around 8:00 p.m., we’ll open the Members Lounge to members who want to catch the East Coast Experience and join the party. New NSC Social Director, welcome Caroline Schulz!

After an extended search for capable hands to take over the role of Social Director at NSC, we are happy to report that Caroline Schulz has volunteered.  Caroline is outgoing and curious, comfortable finding connections among members.  She’s looking forward to building-out a new program for NSC that reflects the wishes of our members, with events that promote and encourage active participation.  Caroline is reachable at social@nsc.ca.

Turkey Trot 2019 – Report

A strong turnout of 40 boats sailed the Turkey Trot pursuit race on Thanksgiving Monday. Congratulations to Hugo Morin and Tristan King from CVGR for line honours in their 49er, accompanied by their fan club, and to NSC’s Lone Shark as top keelboat. The horde of hungry sailors then shared a turkey feast in the clubhouse. more…
