We now have facilities at NSC to handle disposal of some hazardous waste materials.

In particular we would like boat owners to dispose of all antifreeze (even purportedly bio friendly) in an effort to be better environmental stewards.

Members may dispose of the following materials in the yard by contacting Gene or Brad during office hours or one of the senior bosuns Alex or Joe on the weekends. For after hours disposal please leave clearly labelled containers on the pallet beside the gas locker in front of the annex and they will be disposed of on a daily basis.

• Flammable liquids
• Used oil
• Antifreeze
• Latex paint
• Solvent based paint
• Oil filters
• Fuel filters

This service is limited to materials related to your boat at NSC. Please do not abuse the system by disposing of other hazardous materials as this only ends up with increased costs for our membership.
