A Truly FANtastic FAll Regatta
FANFARE 2026, held on the weekend of September 12-13, lived up to its FANtastic name for another year. Beautiful dinghy racing weather, warm, sunny and with breezy, but varible winds, kept both the Race Officers and racers on their toes all weekend. This year FANFARE hosted the 505 Canadian Championships, which were won convincingly by NSC’s Christian Voyer and Luke Strickland. We also welcomed a large number of youth sailors in the Opti, ILCA and 420 class, where NSC sailors took the top 3 places. The Pig and Corn roast on Saturday evening was also excellent.

A Glorious Weekend for NSC Racers
As well as competing in glorious weather at FANFARE, the weekend Sept 12-13 saw sailors from NSC taking part and making podium in several other out of town events. These included the 2026 Mobility Cup, Canada’s largest annual regatta for sailors with disabilities, The Lipton Challenge Cup (Viper-640) held at Norton Yacht Club in Conneticut, the J/24 US Nationals in Portland and the J/22 Canadian Championship at Hudson QC.
