NSC came out of Saturday’s derecho with no significant damage to our grounds or infrastructure. In the Park, however, several boats were spun-around and dragged by the wind. NSC Status, May 22 (Updated)
We sincerely hope that you’re all safe and dry. A short update on NSC after the storm: Our generator is powering the Clubhouse; Galley will be open; vehicle gate is unlocked but must be opened manually; Cranes and Service Docks are not operational as they are not run from the generator. Yard Status: May 20
With Commercial Launch set for May 27, we are poised to finish our Yard re-configuration and officially open Trailer Launch and Park areas shortly. Please keep an eye on your inboxes for further instructions. There will be some short Yard closures in the coming weeks while cradles and other members’ equipment is tucked away.
Yard and Commercial Launch Status May 16
The strike affecting Ontario Crane Operators continues. NSC Staff, volunteers and our Service Providers are actively re-configuring the NSC Yard in an attempt to open Trailer Launch and Park areas. Please keep and eye on your Inbox and this website for the most up-to-date information.
Trailer Launch and Park opening will be delayed
In case you missed the Spring Meeting and continuing from the announcement that NSC delayed Commercial Launch, we will not yet be able to open the Trailer Launch and Park areas on May 14th and 15th as planned. The Yard and Harbour teams are diligently reorganizing the Yard, please do not bring extra boats in to the Yard for Trailer Launch or Park use until further notice. more…
North Masting Crane Up and Running
Apologies again for the outage for unplanned maintenance. Crane provider was onsite today, repairs made and we’re back in business.
North Masting Crane Down for Maintenance
The North Masting Crane had to be shut down on May 6 for some unplanned maintenance. We appreciate the poor timing here but it can’t be avoided and our supplier can’t service the crane until the week of May 9. The main cranes and the south masting crane are still available.
Commercial Launch is Postponed, new date TBD
There is no change in the status of the strike that affects Crane Operators in Ontario. Unfortunately, this will delay Commercial Launch originally planned for May 7 and subsequently impact the opening of the Trailer Launch areas and the Park. more…
