National Judge Seminar – October 29

Sail Canada and NSC is pleased to host a National Judge Seminar from October 29th to October 31st as part of the Sail Canada Annual AGM & Conference in Ottawa, ON. BYC 100 Mile Race – Friday September 11, 2015

For those interested, hardy and adventurous NSC Long Distance sailors, the infamous BYC 100 Mile Race (open to all clubs) starts this Friday September 11th at 1900h. Copies of the official Sailing Instructions, Course Description, and Certificate of Compliance can be found here.

Crane Familiarization – September 23, 2015

For anyone who plans to use either of the NSC standing cranes, attending one of the “Crane Familiarization Sessions” is mandatory. If you plan to attend, please meet at the North Crane at 5:30 p.m. on September 23, 2015. Ross Laver will be hosting a “Member Orientation” that evening, starting at 7pm which might also interest you; should be fun.

Course Swap, Earlier Start Time for Evening Racing

Racers are reminded that per the Sailing Instructions, the first warning signal is made at 18:00 after August 31st. Also, beginning this week, Tuesday and Thursday keelboat courses are swapped back to as they were for the Spring Series.

FAntastic Nepean FAll REgatta (FANFARE) – September 12-13, 2015

The FAntastic Nepean FAll REgatta (FANFARE) is being hosted by NSC on September 12-13, 2015. This regatta is open to 505s, Fireballs, Albacores, Lasers, Laser Radials, 420s and Catamarans. FANFARE is hosting the 505 Canadians during this weekend as well, so an exciting weekend should be had by all. Check out the Fanfare web page for details and online registration.

Lac Deschenes Open PHRF (LDOP) Regatta, September 19-20, 2015

An awesome fall weekend regatta of Interclub PHRF Keelboat course and long distance racing at low entry cost. Hosted by BYC, the racing is accompanied by a Saturday night social Steak Dinner (Dinner tickets extra). Register online at LDOP 2015 website. Entry Fee $30+HST before Sept. 1st, $35+HST after.
