Update on Flood Situation 2019 (22 May)

As of 22 May, the water levels around NSC continue to slowly recede, but remain high. The North Crane is now operational but the South Crane is not as of yet. Electrical power has been restored to most of the yard. Members are permitted to begin launching their boats and are encouraged to contact the Service Providers now to begin launching boats. Note that vehicle traffic into the yard is restricted to only those members launching their boats on trailers. more…

NSC Cranes – Launch Restriction in Effect

Members may notice that the North and South Launch cranes have been re-assembled.  Due to very high water levels, some remaining ice in the harbour and the fact that B and X docks are not yet refinished, members are asked to refrain from launching their boats until further notice.  The river level is forecast to crest on 28 April.

Launch Work Party for Boats on Trailers

If you keep your boat on a trailer and would like help launching, we have organised work parties for Sunday May 1 and Sunday May 8. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow members while receiving a helping hand with your launch not to mention getting your boat in the water early and out of the yard which is a HUGE help to unlocking the yard gridlock. Email Parke Davis for more details and to sign up for the morning or afternoon session.
