NSC Dinghy Racing Cancelled Wednesday, June 7
Due to the ongoing extremely poor air quality and for the safety of our staff and members, Fleet Captain has made the decision to cancel all dinghy racing for June 7. Decisions on racing Thursday will be taken in due course. The club’s bar and The Galley are open, but there will be no service on the deck Wednesday or Thursday.

Expired Flare Collection @ NSC
NSC has made arrangements with OPS to collect and dispose of expired flares. Please bring your expired flares to the office from 0930 to 1630, from the 28th of November to the 9th of December. There will be a bin to place them in outside the office. Please do not bring your expired flares to the bar for drop off. Expired flares must be in a stable condition (not cracked or used), dry, and able to transport.
Lights removed from NSC Channel Marks & Bifurcation Mark
Attention members who are still sailing at night: the lights from all channel marks, and the bifurcation mark, have been removed for the winter. Additionally, the outer red and green channel marks have been removed and replaced with temporary white marks. Please proceed with caution.
COVID-19 Update – Changes to Member Access to the Clubhouse
With Winter fast approaching, NSC is changing access protocols to the clubhouse to allow members and their guests to enter the club by either of the main floor doors during bar hours (ie. Wed – Sun). This change will take effect on Wednesday, 24 November. A host will be stationed at the main entrance to verify vaccination status, conduct COVID screening and provide access control. Please treat this employee of the club respectfully as they are there to help your club comply with provincially required COVID protocols. more…
Proof of Vaccination Requirements for NSC
The Government of Ontario requires that individuals using interior dining, bar and/or event areas must show a valid proof of vaccination before being permitted to enter. The provincial regulation is here. Members and their guests will be asked to present proof of vaccination at the reception desk at the top of the stairs if they wish to dine or stay at the bar inside. more…
NSC’s COVID-19 Posture & Policies
On Friday, 16 July, the Ontario provincial COVID measures will change to Step 3. The latest provincial regulation is here. A summary of each step is here. For NSC this means that in addition to the easing of restrictions in Step 2, the clubhouse can open to members with some restrictions which are listed below the “more” button.
